This is my space for adventures in Hebrew typography. My Hebrew type journey began as a personal challenge, while searching to improve my creative output. During my search I realized that inspiration for Latin letters could easily be found, and I decided that my next experiment must be one with little reference, where I’d be challenged piece after piece to be as self-referential as possible.
One day it hit me: Hebrew letters don’t lend themselves to the hooks and ligatures commonplace in Latin letter designs. Flourishes are more difficult to integrate, and the rigid shapes of Hebrew type would challenge me a heck of a lot more. And so my #HebrewType journey began, and continues with the help of Storenvy, and you :)

When I hang my Spicy Type prints, will the spices fall off?
The spice prints look so real because they are photographs of artwork I made, using real spices. The print you get is an archival reproduction of that photograph, so the spices will stay on a long, long time. -
Are all your items really hand made?
You betcha! -
There’s a friend I was thinking of getting something for as a present. Do you gift wrap?
Yes. Make a note during checkout. And you should call them up anyway. -
Do you accept orders placed outside of the US?
Yes. Since USPS shipping costs are so high, I actually ship internationally at a small loss. I want you to be able to enjoy Hebrew Type wherever you are, and even though shipping outside the U.S. is costly, I'm sharing in that burden with you. Fist bump? -
How long will it take to receive my order?
Unless otherwise noted on the item's detail page, orders are shipped within two business days. Once shipped, most domestic orders take anywhere from 2 to 10 business days to arrive depending on the efficiency of your local postal service. International shipping delivery times may vary between 1 and 12 weeks. -
