I have been hand-sewing and embroidering since I was a small child. My mother would always make dresses and blouses for my sister and I, and even dolls and toys. I loved watching her create and learned the craft passed down from her mother. I fell out of practice in high school but continued painting, drawing, crafting and creating.
When searching for creative items for my own wedding, I became inspired by new designs and lovely fabrics. I thought there should be an option out there for brides who want something handmade just for them without having to pay and arm and a leg.
I began experimenting with different techniques to craft hair flowers, fascinators, headpieces and veils that are both lovely and affordable. I am always testing and tweaking designs and striving to make every piece better than the last. Each item is made to order in the USA from materials locally sourced whenever possible and sourced from only fair-trade manufacturers inside and outside the US when not.
Living in Anchorage, Alaska I am accustomed to buying special items long distance and because of that I am hyper-aware of the difficulties of ordering wonderful, hand-crafted items online. I strive to make sure every bride is 100% satisfied on her big day and will provide samples of fabric, pictures of every custom design for approval before shipping and will even hand-dye fabric to match a bride's dress.
I pride myself on my craft and love to create one-of-a-kind items for a bride's special day. Please check out our website and Facebook page for updates and specials. Our items are also carried by Bateau Bridal Boutique of Anchorage and you will find our jackets and boleros at Fabulous Frocks of Anchorage. Please be sure to ask for a specific design you like and they will have it available at your dress or accessories appointment.
