Our Story:
BlackStripe is an urban street wear clothing company based out of Seattle Washington, with the goal to challenge the concepts and norms of the genre. We started this brand with the simple idea to take a more artist approach on censorship. To change the typical black bar placed over images that are viewed as inappropriate, we replaced it with something that is more aesthetically pleasing and improves the overall image. Since our inception in 2012 we have grown at a steady pace gaining knowledge and experience through our ups and downs over the last few years. Our current home in the northwest has opened us up to a different type of street wear scene while we still remain true to our California roots.

Who We Are:
Blackstripe founders Eric Brown and Joe Dimaio were born and raised in San Diego where skateboarding and surfing are prominent scenes. We attempt to embody this California culture into our brand and everything we do. We draw inspiration from many different outlets, both past and present. With both co-founders being previously published artist we take the current trends and concepts and alter them through our perspective. Being avid street wear fans and buyers we attempt to take a more artistic approach to our designs that typically begin with hand drawn sketches that eventually turn into soft goods that are currently being sold in limited quantities, stocked in house, and sold online.
