Myrrhia Fine Knitwear is a line of sweater knits and accessories for men and women. Clothing is a form of self-expression. We create clothing that gives people authority and sophistication to support them in reaching their full potential. This carries into our business model too: supporting our local supply chain from ranchers and farmers to boutiques and consumers is our core goal. We source all of our yarns in the USA, selecting organic fibers dyed with organic plant dyes, and natural fibers that are produced and dyed using sustainable processes. Some of our pieces are made with undyed, naturally colored California-grown organic cotton and California-ranched organic merino wool. While our designs strive for edginess, futurism and sophistication, our rustic materials and the textures of knitting always signal the softness and familiarity of knitting's heritage.

Myrrhia Resneck learned to knit at age 7. After making pieces for friends and family and publishing hand knitting patterns in knitty.com and Interweave, she started offering finished garments for sale online. Eventually demand for her pieces drew her away from a professional career as a lawyer, and she founded Myrrhia Fine Knitwear in 2010. Starting with a hobby knitting machine, she created her first collection of womenswear knits in February of 2012. Six months later she was able to set up a manufacturing space with a state of the art industrial knitting machine in Oakland, CA. Now with the help of one part time employee and a creative director/publicist, she designs and manufactures two lines of knitwear per year. Menswear was added to the line in February of 2014.
