Rafael Nieves is a graphic designer and comic book writer. The pieces he creates are a direct result of his love of Art Deco, WPA, propaganda, vintage advertising, typography and movie posters. Clean lines, blocks of color, bold expression are all staples of his work. His favorite art tool is a laptop and Adobe Illustrator. He cites Wright, Mackintosh, Mucha, and Klimt as inspirations, as well as DeLempicka, Michael Schwab and Saul Bass.
