Hello! My name is Margarita García, I live and work in Málaga, the biggest city on the Costa del Sol, a sunny place in southern Europe, very Mediterranean -whatever that means-and I am the owner/designer of Speak Louder, a handmade neckwear brand.

I am an architect by profession and the Speak Louder adventure began while I was writing my thesis on architecture and fashion, and researching in Adolf Loos’ book "Why a man should be well-dressed." what men’s fashion and modern architecture have in common.-It may sound a bit pretentious but it's true!.- As I became more interested in menswear I began designing and making my own unique ties for the modern man. Speak Louder was born by chance but now it has become an exciting part of my life.

My contribution to men's fashion is to offer a quality and stylish garment. It is simple and functional yet not the least bit boring and I pay the utmost attention to the construction of each garment. I design pieces that can be dressed up or down, that have the perfect combination of functionality and edginess. They are a modern twist on the traditional concept of the tie. The tie is a sober element by itself, so the way you wear it, the texture and the color are the keys to making it something different and fun. So you choose, what do you want out of your tie!

Looking for the prefect fabric is part of the process and I often draw my inspiration from people that I admire. I am a huge fan of art and architecture and this is also reflected in my designs. Each of my pieces is designed with these inspirations in mind or simply inspired by someone that I think would look great in it- the next step is asking him to wear it, even if he is not alive-
