I was throwing it back to early-mid 2000s nostalgia with this skull and crossbones collage! It really seemed like a no-brainer for me to FINALLY do one of these (seriously can't believe I haven't before) given all the perfect paper I have on hand and my lifelong love of the black and pink color scheme and my obsession with skulls and crossbones! If you grew up in the 2000s like me you're probably familiar with this theme and you may have even rocked it yourself!
For this 12 x 12 canvas painting, I tried to use a lot of my scrap papers, including plastic heart-shaped buttons, a bow (that I cut off one of my hats in middle school), and some fabric from a pair of jeans that were hemmed. Lots of found object vibes going on and to top it all off a little Bratz doll paper cut out is included! (No idea where she is from but my friend cut a bunch of them up and gave them to me in middle school and she finally gets to see the light of day after spending years in my scrapbook paper collection!)
