This porous, igneous rock forms during volcanic eruptions. It is an ideal amendment for creating fast drainage, which most plants require.
In addition to mixing in potting soil and in the ground, it can be combined with orchid bark. Pumice has some weight to it, so it won’t wash away during watering and rain.
Two 2.8 pound bags each equaling approximately 8 cups. How much you need will vary according to what you're planting and the soil type.
