Do you accept orders placed outside of the US?

We sure do! We are located in Australia but welcome international orders, also.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Once your order has been placed we will be in contact the next working day to discuss shipment times. If you order is in stock and you are located in Australia, you can expect your item anywhere between 1 to 5 business days. If your item needs to be replenished, stock takes ten days (usually including weekends) to arrive, in which case you will be notified before we post it on to you. International shipping delivery times may vary between 2 and 12 weeks.

Are you selling real hair?

All of the hair sold by Glamour Girlz is our own brand of 100% human hair, unless stated. Human hair can be washed, blow dried, straightened, curled, crimped, cut and dyed. Synthetic hair can not and therefore will melt & tangle easily. Do not be fooled by inferior products.

What weight should I order?

Please take note of hair weights. Based on 20” please see the example below,

What length to order?

Based on a 5’5” woman, 18” hair extensions will approximately be of bra strap length, 26” hair extensions will almost touch the hip bones. As a basic rule 20” is recommended as the longest manageable length for those new to using hair extensions.

What extensions method to order?

Temporary method

Clip ins

Clip in hair extensions are attached via wefts of varying widths sewn onto toupe clips. These can easily clip in and out of your natural hair causing little to no damage. These look incredibly natural, when applied correctly, and offer the individual an easy way to customize volume, length & colour immediately. This method of extensions is best suited to those who lead an active lifestyle or are time poor, those that want to add length for special occasions or those who are new to extension use. With proper application and storage clip ins, can last 1 year plus.

Semi-permanent methods

Quicklinks/Microloops

Quicklinks are often referred to as Microloops and confused with the Microbead method. This is a common mistake as both types are very similar. Quicklinks attach in grouped strands by a pre-threaded aliminium bead. This method is very simple to attach with the help of a friend. The beads are clamped flat to hold them in to your natural hair and are simply unclamped to remove. This causes little to no damage, provided you care for them as advised. Quicklinks can last up to 3 months but cannot be reused and are great for an upcoming special occasion that requires more length or for those making the transition from clip ins to a more permanent method.

Stick/I Tip with Microbead

Stick or I Tip Microbead extensions are usually just shortened to Microbeads. Named so because of the stick like strand of extension used in combination with a copper, aliminium or silicone lined bead, clamped flat. This method is slightly more time consuming than Quicklinks as each bead has to be hand threaded onto the hair strand manually. When looked after correctly Microbeads can last 3 -4 months and if the hair is in good condition it can be re-beaded and therefore reused. This method is an excellent alternative, when used in combination with silicone lined beads, for those that have experienced slippage of other methods or have short or damaged hair requiring extra TLC.

Permanent methods

Tape/Skin Weft

The Tape or Skin Weft method works by applying hair wefts attached to a clear PU ‘skin’ covered in a double sided tape. These sandwich together either side of your natural hair to provide a very natural looking method of extension. Tape is often not applied correctly and can cause damage to the natural hair, so it is important to care for them properly and uphold regular maintenance practices. Tape hair can last up to 6 weeks before the hair can be re-taped and reused. Tape is excellent, when used alone or in combination with Microbeads, for short hair whilst looking natural or for ladies that do not want their extensions to look obvious.

Keratin Wax/Glue Ins

Keratin Wax, commonly called ‘glue ins’ are most commonly ‘Nail tip’ strands melted and rolled around strands of your own hair. The wax used is keratin based, which is a protein found naturally in our hair, effectively causing little damage. Damage occurs with this extension method when individuals try to prolong the life of these extensions without maintenance and for periods longer than 6 months. For healthy hair it is recommended wax be kept in no longer than 6 months at any time. These can be removed with a solution that breaks down the keratin wax and reduces it to a crumbly, powdery consistency. Wax are an excellent option for individuals who want strong hold, a more permanent method of extension and those who are more experienced in the care and use of other methods.

Glamour Girlz hair extensions are available in a range of natural and bright colours. Please refer to the colours chart under Products. The numbers displayed under each swatch is a universal colour code and are true to colour. If you are unsure of which colour may be best suited to you, you can schedule a colour match appointment or arrange to send through a photo so that one of our staff can assist you.
