This is my arrangement of the famous "Adagio" by Tomaso Albinoni, originally written for string orchestra and organ. Although commonly attributed to the Italian Baroque composer Tomaso Albinoni, it is in fact largely composed by Remo Giazotto, who was an Italian musicologist, music critic, and composer, mostly known through his systematic catalogue of the works of Tomaso Albinoni.
My adaptation aims at making this piece idiomatic to the classical guitar, while preserving its lyrical, and at the same time, orchestral nature. It is an excellent piece to add to a concert program, as it is very popular among music lovers and the general public.
