After discovering the "Designer Toy" art movement in 2012, DLL decided to start his own company to mimic the work of The Sucklord, and the few other "bootleg" resin artists of that era. About a year later, "DLL Customs" was born at the end of 2013 and began a 4-year plan of monthly releases, which ran until 2018.
By that time he had gained the respect of many of his peers and notoriety throughout the "resin bootlegger" community; Featured on Sucklord's Podcast and Master Casters, the documentary short film about this particular niche within the Designer Toy world.
Focus was then shifted to investing as much time as needed into the pieces. In 2019, "Something More..." was nominated for Best Resin at the Designer Toy Awards. In 2020, "A Metamorphosis" was introduced at Clutter Gallery's annual InAction Figures exhibition, which was a prime example of his capabilities.
DLL continues to put out new, well constructed pieces as life will allow, and hopes to one day be able to be in position to do monthly releases once again...
