Looking for that perfect astronomy gift for the art collector or stargazer on your holiday shopping list? Look no further! Hand painted in mixed media and resin and fully varnished on 3” x 3” canvas, this pocket painting is one of a series exploring this gorgeous image of Saturn with Titan in silhouette. Saturn is also known to us as Chronos, the father time figure in human mythology, symbolizing the wisdom and maturity which come with time and experience; the achievement which results from self discipline and and commitment in spite of our desire for instant gratification. The Saturn Returns series explores this dramatic image of Saturn transited by his largest moon, Titan, in a variety of both sizes and media, from oils to acrylic to enamel and resin mixed media. Each medium takes on its own representational style, from realism to more abstract and stylized renderings. Gallery wrapped. This fully varnished original painting comes with a signed certificate of authenticity including care instructions and full exhibition history (if applicable). Signed side and back and numbered. Choose from Ready to Hang or Display Easel. See the sister paintings in the Saturn Returns series: Saturn Returns I Saturn Returns III Saturn Returns IV

FAQs & Polices

Do you accept orders placed outside of the US?

I sure do! Though shipping usually takes a little longer. :)

International customers are responsible for all VAT and customs charges relating to their purchase. Please indicate any special international shipping or customs instructions at time of checkout.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Processing your order will take 1-2 weeks from the day you place it. Once shipped, most domestic orders take anywhere from 2 to 10 business days to arrive depending on the efficiency of your local postal service. International shipping delivery times may vary between 2 and 12 weeks.

Why does it take so long to get my art?

Depending on the complexity of the work you ordered, it can take considerable time to complete.

Custom commissions are begun after receipt of payment. Original artwork ships within a few days to a week of placing your order. Giclee prints must undergo a particular varnishing process which must be allowed to dry prior to shipping.

I may also be working on more than one commission at a time, and I prioritize these on a "first come, first served" basis.

Do you take commissions?

Absolutely! I love painting space and will happily take commissions for anything you might want.

I also draw and paint portraiture in pencils, charcoal, oils, and acrylics. If you'd like to commission a portrait of someone you love or even someone you admire, just let me know!

Can I see some of your other work?

A partial portfolio is available online at http://phaedrapaints.com/portfolio/. I add new art pretty regularly, so check back from time to time to see what's new.
